Rushworth's assist was described as only the third goalkeeper assist in Coventry's Premier League history, following Steve Ogrizovic's assists in 1992 and 1995.
Soon after the goal, Forest brought on Igor Jesus for Dan Ndoye, while Liam Delap was booked for shoving an opponent. The BBC also noted that, following this goal, all 20 Premier League clubs had now scored at least once this season.
