An extraordinary shareholders' meeting of the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) on Thursday elected a temporary board, the Transport Ministry has reported. Ģirts Ozols was chosen to lead it.

At an extraordinary shareholders' meeting held on Thursday, August 20, the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) elected a temporary supervisory board. The Transport Ministry announced the decision.
Ģirts Ozols, who currently chairs the board of the Latvian State Radio and Television Centre, was chosen to head the temporary board.
Two other members joined him on the board. Līga Ermane, who serves as a board member at Latvijas Pasts (the Latvian postal service), was named as one of the new members. The third member is Ivars Saliņš, who previously headed the Strategic Planning and Administrative Support Department at the state joint-stock company Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme (Latvia's air traffic services provider).
The newly elected temporary board will now be responsible for overseeing CSDD until a permanent board is established.
