The state joint-stock company Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) has created a unified section on its official website, www.csdd.lv, bringing together the most important information about a recent cyberattack on the institution's information system.

The new section, titled "Current information on the cybersecurity incident," combines several thematic blocks. It includes details about the cyberattack itself, as well as information on which data may have been affected as a result of the incident.

How clients can get information

The section also explains the procedure by which clients can find out whether and how their personal data has been affected by the cyberattack. In addition, CSDD provides practical advice on how residents can protect themselves from potential fraudsters who might try to exploit information obtained through the incident.

The section also gathers all current CSDD announcements related to the cyberattack, allowing interested people to follow developments in one place.

CSDD has stated that this website section is not a one-time announcement but will be continuously updated with the newest and most relevant information about the incident and efforts to address its consequences.
