CSDD Customers Can Now Check What Data Was Stolen in Cyberattack

Customers of the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD), whose personal data was stolen in a cyberattack on the agency's systems this month, can now find out exactly what information about them was accessed.

According to CSDD, the volume and type of data leaked varies from client to client — not everyone affected had the same categories of information exposed. Because of this, each affected customer is advised to check their own specific situation.

How to check your data

Customers do not need to submit any application or wait for a response from the agency to learn what personal data was stolen. The information is available online through the CSDD e-services portal "e.csdd.lv" — by logging into their personal profile, users can see exactly which categories of their data were obtained during the attack.

This means every CSDD customer can independently verify online whether, and to what extent, their personal data was affected by the cyberattack.
