The Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) has launched a public awareness campaign before the Līgo holiday with the slogan 'Celebrated? Get Some Sleep'. It reminds that safety after celebrations starts not with car keys, but with a sober decision.

Despite annual warnings and grim statistics, drunk driving remains a serious issue in Latvia. The campaign is another effort to reach drivers and reduce accidents during the festive period.
