Central Election Commission Has Received Two Candidate Lists for the 15th Saeima Elections

As of now, the Central Election Commission (CVK) has accepted two candidate lists for the 15th Saeima elections. On the first day, June 20, the National Alliance (NA) submitted its list, and on Thursday, CVK received a list from the political force "Austošā saule Latvijai" (Rising Sun for Latvia).

A total of 14 parties and party alliances have requested access to the candidate list preparation program. CVK expects that the same number of lists will be submitted by the deadline of July 5, which is fewer than the 19 lists submitted in the previous Saeima elections.

So far, five additional lists have been scheduled for in-person submission, and at least one is planned to be submitted electronically. On June 29 at 11:00, the party "Stabilitātei!" (For Stability!) intends to submit its list, and on July 1 at 14:00, the party "Progresīvie" (The Progressives) will do so.

Lists can be submitted in person at CVK's office at 4 Smilšu Street in Riga or remotely using a special application. After submission, CVK will verify their compliance with legal requirements, and only after registration will the lists be included in the electoral process.

The 15th Saeima elections will take place in early October.
