CEC Receives First Candidate Lists for 15th Saeima Elections
The Central Election Commission has so far received two lists – from the National Alliance and the party "Austošā saule Latvijai". In total, 14 parties have requested access to the list preparation program.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that it has received two candidate lists for the 15th Saeima elections so far. The first list was submitted on June 20 by the National Alliance, and on Thursday, June 25, the commission accepted a list from the political force "Austošā saule Latvijai".
A total of 14 parties or party alliances have requested access to the candidate list preparation program, which matches the predicted number of lists to be submitted. This is fewer than in the previous Saeima elections, when 19 lists were submitted.
Submission of lists will continue until July 5. Five more in-person submissions have been scheduled, and at least one list will be submitted electronically. In the coming days, the following parties plan to submit: on June 29 at 11:00 – "Stabilitātei!", and on July 1 at 14:00 – "Progresīvie".
The CEC reminds parties to prepare all necessary documents in accordance with requirements. After submission, the CEC will assess the lists' compliance with legal regulations, and only after registration will they be included in the electoral process. The 15th Saeima elections will take place in early October.
