UFC president Dana White has confirmed that British mixed martial artist Michael 'Venom' Page will be leaving the promotion, as his contract has come to an end.

The 39-year-old Londoner, known by the nickname MVP, joined the UFC in December 2023 on a six-fight deal. He completed that contract on Saturday in Paris with a win over Nursultan Ruziboev, though the performance drew boos from the crowd rather than enthusiasm.

UFC record

Page finishes his UFC run with a 5-1 record, competing across welterweight and middleweight. All five of his victories, however, came by judges' decision rather than finish, and he has himself acknowledged falling short of the performances he had hoped to deliver.

While the former Bellator fighter had hoped to discuss his future with the promotion, he was dropped from the UFC rankings immediately after Saturday's bout.

White's comments

Dana White stated that the Paris bout was Page's final fight under his existing contract and that the organisation does not intend to re-sign him. White expressed surprise at the public confusion over the matter, saying it had already been made clear that Page would not be retained and that his removal from the rankings simply reflected he was no longer on the roster.

Now a free agent, Page could pursue opportunities with rival promotion PFL or move into professional boxing.
