Peak, a co-op climbing video game that became one of 2025's biggest indie hits, is now available on consoles: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. According to tech site Engadget's weekly indie game roundup, the PC version on Steam has already sold more than 23 million copies.
Peak on consoles
Peak was made by developers from the studios Aggro Crab and Landfall. Players work together to climb mountains whose layouts change every day. The console version supports cross-play and costs $10, while the Steam version launched last year at $8. Developer Nick Kaman told Game File that the amount of content has doubled since the original release.
Other new releases
Hockey roguelite Tape to Tape has left early access, where it had been on Steam since 2023, and now has a full release that also covers consoles. It supports up to 10 local players, and the goal is to stop a team of "evil golfers". Co-op looter shooter Mycopunk has also left early access on Steam and arrived on PlayStation 5, with players trying to wipe out a fungus that has taken over a planet.
The Critical Reflex Time showcase announced and released Cucina Stellata, a free psychological horror game set in the 19th-century Italian countryside. Grease Trap '99, a horror mystery set in a fish and chip shop in the Scottish Highlands, costs $5.
