The Rothko Art Centre in Daugavpils has opened a solo exhibition by textile artist Iveta Vecenāne titled 'Transfer. Rothko Motif,' featuring tapestries inspired by Mark Rothko's watercolors.

A new solo exhibition by textile artist Iveta Vecenāne has opened at the Rothko Art Centre in Daugavpils, titled 'Transfer. Rothko Motif.'
The show presents the artist's new tapestry works, in which she reinterprets the subtle, delicate quality of color found in the watercolors of American painter Mark Rothko. Vecenāne has translated that fragile, fleeting sense of color into textile form, creating a new mode of artistic expression that merges painterly principles with the texture of woven fabric.
The exhibition takes place at the museum dedicated to Rothko's legacy, located in his hometown of Daugavpils.
