The street food festival "Garšu toņi" has become an established end-of-summer tradition in Daugavpils' Central Park. This year the event will bring together 50 vendors traveling from both Latvia and Lithuania.

A wide range of dishes

Visitors to the festival will have the chance to try dishes representing various world cuisines, alongside treats prepared by local home cafés. The offerings are expected to range from traditional fare to more unusual options — everything from fermented cabbage to smoked quail.

An unusual addition

One of this year's notable newcomers is the holiday house "Laimes taure" from the Vaboles parish. The venue will offer festival-goers grilled quail as well as marinated quail eggs — a dish not commonly seen at Latvian street food events until now.

The festival continues to grow into one of Daugavpils' signature end-of-summer traditions, drawing both local residents and visitors eager to sample a variety of cuisines in one place.
