Drift Car Parade to Take Over Daugavpils Streets; Traffic Restrictions Expected

A drift car parade will take place in Daugavpils as part of the Drift Festival, bringing temporary traffic restrictions for drivers.

The parade will start at 20:00 from the “Blāzma” kartodrome. Escorted by the State Police, the column of drift cars will travel along Blāzmas Street, Liginišķu Street, Lielā Street, Vienības Bridge, Daugavas Street, Imantas Street, Cietokšņa Street, and Rīgas Street to Vienības Square.

At 20:10, the Daugavpils Drift Festival will be officially opened at Vienības Square with a concert. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the drift cars up close and meet the drivers.

After the concert, around 22:45, the drift cars will return in an organized column from Vienības Square along Ģimnāzijas Street, Parādes Street, Daugavas Street, Vienības Bridge, Lielā Street, Sēlijas Street, Liginišķu Street, and Blāzmas Street back to the “Blāzma” kartodrome, where the festival will continue.

Traffic restrictions are expected during the parade and after the opening event along the mentioned routes. Residents are advised to plan their travel accordingly.
