Large quantity of narcotics found at woman's home in Daugavpils
Latvian police searched the home of a woman born in 1980 in Daugavpils and found several types of narcotic and psychotropic substances. A criminal case has been opened over illegal possession.

On September 30, the State Police detained a woman born in 1980 in Daugavpils on suspicion of distributing narcotic substances. The detention took place as part of a criminal case that had already been opened earlier, following operational information about possible illegal trafficking of narcotics.
What was found during the search
During the search, officers found 80 tablets containing psychotropic substances at the woman's residence — 40 tablets of "Subutex" and 40 tablets of "Klonazepam". Additionally, 15 grams of marijuana, ten grams of cocaine and ten grams of "ecstasy" were seized.
Investigation continues
The exact composition of the seized substances will be determined through forensic examination. Police opened the criminal case under Section 253, Part 1 of the Criminal Law — illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or forwarding of narcotic or psychotropic substances without intent to distribute them. The offense carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to three years, short-term imprisonment, probation supervision, community service, or a fine. The investigation in the criminal case continues.
