Bystanders Save Woman After Cardiac Arrest in Daugavpils Store

In Daugavpils, a woman suddenly collapsed and stopped breathing in a store. According to the Daugavpils Regional Hospital, her life was saved due to the rapid and courageous response of bystanders.

Witnesses immediately called the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and began chest compressions, continuing until medics arrived. The EMS team continued resuscitation and transported the patient to the Daugavpils Regional Hospital's Emergency Clinic.

There, necessary diagnostics and treatment were provided. Specialists from the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory played a crucial role in eliminating the life-threatening condition.

The hospital emphasized that this case highlights the importance of a coordinated chain of survival, from bystander first aid to professional teamwork. The successful collaboration with EMS is particularly noted, as precise information exchange and mutual trust are vital in such emergencies.
