Daugavpils Local History and Art Museum Reorganized and Merged with Rothko Museum

At the end of last year, the Daugavpils Local History and Art Museum underwent significant changes. It was reorganized and merged with the well-known Rothko Museum. As part of this transformation, the museum was closed to the public to allow for a complete review of its operational concept. In addition, renovation work is planned to improve the condition of the premises and adapt them to the new concept. After the completion of these tasks, the museum is promised to reopen its doors to the public. The exact reopening date has not been announced yet, but the main focus is on creating a modern and attractive exhibition.
