Dāvis Ikaunieks leaves Lithuanian club Žalgiris
Latvian footballer Dāvis Ikaunieks has parted ways with Kaunas-based Žalgiris by mutual agreement, having joined in January and helped win the Lithuanian Super Cup.

Latvian footballer Dāvis Ikaunieks has ended his stint with Lithuanian side Žalgiris by mutual agreement. He joined the Kaunas-based club in January and helped them win the Lithuanian Super Cup. Currently, Žalgiris sits in second place in the Lithuanian league. In 18 appearances for the club, Ikaunieks scored four goals.
Prior to his move to Lithuania, Ikaunieks returned to RFS in mid-June last season, making 15 appearances and scoring one goal. He had previously played for RFS in the 2019 season, registering six goals and two assists in 12 top-flight matches.
Throughout his career, Ikaunieks has represented Czech clubs Jablonec and Mlada Boleslav, Lithuanian side Šiauliai, and Brunei's DPMM, which competes in the Singapore Premier League. He also spent half a season with Liepāja in 2021.
