Delfi to participate in Lampa conversation festival with multiple discussions
On July 10–11, the portal Delfi will organize and moderate several discussions at the Lampa festival in Cēsis, covering topics like the EU, business, media, and cybersecurity.
The 12th Lampa conversation festival will take place in Cēsis on July 10–11, featuring around 400 events at 66 venues, all centered on the question: “What must we not avoid talking about?”. The news portal Delfi will host and moderate several discussions on a range of topics.
July 10
At 2:00 PM on the “Europe is here!” stage, a discussion titled “Are European affairs foreign affairs? What do we actually expect from Latvia’s Presidency of the Council of the EU?” will be moderated by Delfi TV producer and host Alina Lastovska-Butkeviča. Participants include Edgars Kiukucāns, Ilze Rūse, Kristīne Zonberga, Katrīna Zariņa, and Mihails Kozlovs. The discussion is organized by the Secretariat of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At 7:30 PM at the Export Port, the first event of the series “Almost perfect date: politician and entrepreneur – one on one” will take place. This dynamic format gives politicians and entrepreneurs five minutes to present their ideal cooperation model. Moderated by Alina Lastovska-Butkeviča, the event features several business leaders and politicians. Organized by the LMT Group.
July 11
At 11:00 AM in the Northern Island area, the discussion “Does women’s self-censorship threaten democracy?” will feature Delfi editor-in-chief Filips Lastovskis, along with Gunta Sloga, Sanita Upleja-Jegermane, and Marta Cerava. The event is organized by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia in cooperation with the Baltic Centre for Media Excellence.
At 2:00 PM on the DOTS stage, a special episode of “Science or Nonsense” titled “Is no one controlling the dark web?” will be hosted by Jānis Sildniks and Edžus Miķelsons, with participants Kirils Solovjovs and Gunta Bambāne. This discussion is organized by Delfi.
At 3:00 PM on the Cēsis stage, the discussion “The money is there! Is courage for growth lacking?” will be moderated by Alina Lastovska-Butkeviča, featuring Jānis Rozenbergs, Roberts Idelsons, Jānis Palkavnieks, and Silva Jeromanova-Maura. Organized by Cēsis Municipality.
Admission to the festival is free, and all discussions will be available via live streams on Delfi and the festival website.
