European champion three times over – at just 10 years old

Latvian draughts player Jasmīna Lamberte, only 10 years old, has already won three European championship titles. At the latest European championship she outplayed dozens of rivals from seven countries.

A remarkable new talent has emerged in Latvian draughts – 10-year-old Jasmīna Lamberte can already claim three European championship titles.

The young athlete achieved these results before even reaching her teenage years, pointing to exceptional talent and dedicated training.

Dozens of rivals outplayed

At her most recent European championship appearance, Lamberte managed to get the better of a significant number of opponents – depending on the specific tournament, she outplayed either 22 or as many as 36 rivals. These competitors represented seven different countries, reflecting the broad international field at the championship.

The young draughts player's achievements stand out given how rare it is for someone so young to hold three European titles. The results suggest strong potential for the future of Latvian draughts.
