Dienas Bizness Receives Recovery Fund Support for Digital Transformation
On 9 January 2025, the publisher of Dienas Bizness signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for Recovery Fund support to modernise its media business processes. The project covers CRM systems, mobile apps and Smart TV apps.
SIA “Izdevniecība “Dienas bizness””, the publisher of the Latvian business newspaper Dienas Bizness, signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency on 9 January 2025. The agreement provides support under the measure “Modernisation of media sector companies' processes” and is financed by the Recovery Fund, the European Union's post-pandemic recovery instrument. The contract number is 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004.
Aim of the project
The project is intended to carry out the digital transformation of DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI. The company wants to adapt to current media consumption habits and strengthen the interaction between digital and print media options.
Expected results
By 30 June 2025, two digital solutions are to be introduced, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems. These are software used by a company to collect and manage data about its customers.
By 30 June 2026, the company plans to launch:
- two mobile applications;
- two Smart TV applications, designed for internet-connected televisions;
- expanded functionality of existing platforms, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
