Dienas Bizness Publisher Receives Recovery Fund Support for Digital Transformation
Latvian publisher Izdevniecība “Dienas bizness” has signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for Recovery Fund support to modernise its media processes. The project includes CRM systems, mobile and Smart TV apps, and expanded existing platforms.
The Latvian company SIA “Izdevniecība “Dienas bizness”” signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) on 9 January 2025. It provides support under the measure “Modernisation of Media Sector Company Processes”. The measure is financed by the Recovery Fund, an EU instrument meant to help economies recover. The contract number is 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004.
The project aims to digitally transform the publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI. The company seeks to adapt to modern media consumption habits and to encourage interaction between digital and print media.
Planned results
By 30 June 2025, two digital solutions must be in place, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
By 30 June 2026, the project must deliver:
- two mobile applications;
- two Smart TV applications.
The functionality of existing platforms is also to be expanded, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
