Dienas Bizness Launches Digital Transformation Project with EU Recovery Fund Support
Publisher Dienas Bizness has signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for support in modernizing its media processes, aiming to digitize the Dienas Bizness and Dienas Žurnāli publications.

On January 9 this year, SIA "Izdevniecība "Dienas bizness"" signed contract No. 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) to receive support under the measure "Modernization of processes in media sector enterprises." The support is financed through the Recovery Fund.
The project's goal is to carry out a digital transformation of the Dienas Bizness and Dienas Žurnāli publications, adapting them to current media consumption habits and strengthening the interaction between digital and print content formats.
Planned Stages
The project is set to unfold in two stages. By June 30, 2025, the company plans to implement two digital solutions — customer relationship management (CRM) systems designed to improve how it manages communication with readers and clients.
In the second stage, by June 30, 2026, the publisher intends to launch two mobile applications and two Smart TV applications. At the same time, it will expand the functionality of its existing platforms, including an upgrade to the Dienas subscription system (DAS), which provides access to the publisher's digital content.
Details of the signed contract and the project's objectives were published on January 9, 2025. The initiative forms part of broader efforts within Latvia's media sector to adapt to digital-era demands using European Union Recovery Fund financing.
