Dienas Bizness Publisher to Modernise Its Digital Products With Recovery Fund Support
On 9 January 2025, the company SIA Izdevniecība Dienas bizness signed a contract with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for Recovery Fund support to modernise its media processes. The project covers the digital transformation of the DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI titles.
The Latvian media company SIA Izdevniecība Dienas bizness signed a contract on 9 January 2025 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency to receive support under the measure "Modernisation of Media Sector Companies' Processes". The contract number is 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004, and the support is financed by the Recovery Fund. As a result, the publisher will develop its digital products with the help of public funding.
Project goal
The project aims to carry out the digital transformation of the publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI. Its purpose is to adapt to modern media consumption habits and to encourage interaction between digital and print media.
Expected results
By 30 June 2025, the project must deliver two digital solutions, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
By 30 June 2026, the company is to introduce:
- two mobile applications;
- two Smart TV applications.
In addition, the functionality of existing platforms must be expanded, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
