Dienas Bizness receives Recovery Fund support for digital transformation
SIA "Izdevniecība "Dienas bizness"" has signed an agreement with Latvia's Central Finance and Contracting Agency for EU Recovery Fund support to digitalize the Dienas Bizness and Dienas Žurnāli publications. The project includes new CRM systems, mobile apps and Smart TV apps.
Publisher SIA "Izdevniecība "Dienas bizness"" signed agreement No. 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004 on January 9, 2025 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) to receive support under the "Modernization of processes in media sector companies" measure, financed by the European Union's Recovery Fund.
The project's goal is to carry out digital transformation of the Dienas Bizness and Dienas Žurnāli publications, so they better match modern media consumption habits and strengthen interaction between digital and print media offerings.
Planned outcomes
The agreement sets out two stages. By June 30, 2025, two digital solutions — customer relationship management (CRM) systems — are to be implemented. By June 30, 2026, two mobile applications and two Smart TV applications must be launched, along with expanded functionality for existing platforms, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
The project is part of broader efforts to help Latvian media companies adapt to changes in the digital environment and remain competitive, using EU recovery financing to modernize the sector.
