Seven aggressive drivers and four drunk drivers caught in Latvia in one day
Latvia's State Police recorded seven cases of aggressive driving and stopped four drivers under the influence of alcohol on Friday. In total, 457 administrative violation reports were drawn up over the day.

Latvia's State Police drew up seven administrative violation reports for aggressive driving on the country's roads over the past day, on Friday. This is more than the usual daily average, according to traffic statistics compiled by the police.
Five cases of aggressive driving were recorded in the Riga region, and one each in Kurzeme and Zemgale.
Drunk driving
Four drivers of cars or motorcycles were stopped for driving under the influence of alcohol during the day. Criminal proceedings were launched in three cases. In the remaining case, administrative proceedings were opened, which means the driver's blood alcohol concentration was up to 1.5 per mille.
Speeding and other violations
On Friday, 212 reports were drawn up for exceeding the permitted speed limit, with the largest number in Vidzeme.
Overall, the police compiled 457 administrative violation reports for various traffic offences during the day. Of these, 113 were in Latgale, 109 each in Vidzeme and Zemgale, 76 in the Riga region and 50 in Kurzeme.
