15 drunk drivers caught on Latvian roads in one day
Latvia's State Police detained 15 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol over the past 24 hours, with vehicle confiscation planned in at least four cases.

Latvia's State Police has reported that 15 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol on the country's roads over the past 24-hour period.
According to police, at least four of these cases will result in the confiscation of the offenders' vehicles — a penalty applied in Latvia as one of the tools against drunk driving, considered among the most dangerous traffic violations.
The State Police said it continues to monitor road conditions and record cases where drivers ignore the prohibition on operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
