Dozens Killed in Rebel Attacks in Sudan's South Kordofan, Doctors' Group Reports

The Sudan Doctors Network says SPLM-N rebel forces killed 27 people, including four children, in South Kordofan state.

The Sudan Doctors Network, a medical organization tracking war casualties in Sudan, has reported that 27 people were killed in rebel attacks in South Kordofan state.

According to the group, the killings were carried out by forces of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N). Among the dead were four children.

South Kordofan is one of the regions affected by the ongoing conflict that has gripped Sudan since April 2023, pitting the Sudanese army against rival armed factions. The fighting has produced a severe humanitarian crisis, with widespread displacement and civilian casualties across the country.

Further details about the circumstances and exact location of the attack have not yet been disclosed.
