Athletics' Diamond League held two meets in quick succession — first in Lausanne, Switzerland, then in Silesia, Poland — but no Latvian athletes took part.

The Diamond League, one of the premier commercial series in world athletics, is often credited with reminding fans why the sport is called the "queen of sports." The past few days have been especially busy for the series, with two separate meets held back to back.

The circuit first stopped in Lausanne, Switzerland, before moving on just two days later to Chorzów, Poland, in the Silesia region, for another round of competition.

No Latvian athletes

Latvia was not represented at the Silesia meet — no Latvian competitors took part in the event.

No record this time

One of the meet's main attractions was pole vault star Armand Duplantis, though this time he did not manage to set a new world record, unlike on several previous occasions this season.
