The Minister of Culture, whose office is headed by Riga City Council deputy Ritvars Jansons (NA), has appointed conductor Teterovskis as his freelance advisor. Teterovskis will be responsible for cultural matters.
For change management and integration issues, the minister will consult Reinis Lasmanis. Meanwhile, the legal advisor role has been assigned to former Minister of Justice and Saeima deputy Gaidis Bērziņš (NA), who also serves as a deputy on the Talsi County Council.
Agnese Vārpiņa, the head of communications at the Dailes Theatre, has become the advisor on strategic communication.
These changes follow the resignation of National Electronic Mass Media Council (NEPLP) chairman Ivars Āboliņš in early June, who stepped down to become the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Culture.
As previously reported, the Saeima confirmed the new government on May 28, led by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS). The coalition consists of the "United List," the National Alliance, "New Unity," and the Union of Greens and Farmers.
