Forecasters say Latvia will see less precipitation than is typical for autumn this week and next, with temperatures mostly above the usual October and November levels.

Latvia will receive less precipitation than is usual for autumn this week and next, forecasters predict. Rain is expected from time to time, but the weather will often be shaped by an area of high pressure, while cyclone activity will remain low. As a result, winds will mostly be light.
Fog and temperatures
As skies clear, fog will form in many places during the night and morning hours, and in some areas it may linger for a long time.
Overnight temperatures will depend on cloud cover. On some nights under clear skies, the thermometer may dip slightly below zero in places. On cloudy nights it will mostly not fall below +6 to +11 degrees Celsius, and the warmest conditions will remain along the coast.
Daytime highs will reach +8 to +13 degrees, and on some of the sunnier afternoons the temperature may climb to +16 degrees.
Outlook for the coming weeks
According to data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, precipitation in Latvia over the coming weeks will be below normal or close to it. Air temperatures are mostly expected to be higher than is typical for October and November.
