Two Killed in Järva County Car and Truck Collision
Two people died on Friday afternoon in a crash between a car and a truck in Kirisaare, Järva County. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
A fatal traffic collision occurred on Friday at approximately 3:43 p.m. in Kirisaare, Järva County, resulting in two deaths. According to Rivo Saare, operations manager at the Police and Border Guard Board's West Prefecture, preliminary information indicates that a 62-year-old man driving a Toyota entered a main road from a side road and was struck by a Volvo truck heading southwest toward Paide, driven by a 47-year-old man. The driver of the Toyota and a 77-year-old female passenger died at the scene. The truck driver was confirmed to be sober and held a valid driver's license. Police also stated that both occupants of the passenger car were wearing seatbelts, and the tires of both vehicles met all safety requirements. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
