Diesel prices in Latvia reach a new historic high
Diesel fuel prices at Latvian filling stations have exceeded 2.20 euros per litre for the first time. The highest prices were recorded at several brand-name stations, while one chain still offers a slightly lower rate.
Diesel fuel prices at Latvian filling stations have climbed to an unprecedented level, crossing the 2.20-euro-per-litre mark for the first time.
Prices across networks
According to information compiled by iAuto.lv, the highest recorded price was 2.244 euros per litre, charged at the "Virši" filling station in Gulbene. Stations belonging to the "Neste" and "Circle K" networks showed similarly high prices.
A comparatively lower price was still being offered in the afternoon by "Viada", where a litre of diesel cost 2.154 euros — still a high figure, but somewhat behind competitors' prices.
