DJI Osmo Pocket 4P promises 17 stops of dynamic range
DJI has revealed new specs for the Osmo Pocket 4P, including 17 stops of dynamic range, a new D-Log2 mode, and a white color option.

At an event in Malta, DJI has shared more details about its upcoming pro gimbal camera, the Osmo Pocket 4P. It succeeds the popular Osmo Pocket 3 and the standard Osmo Pocket 4.
Dual cameras
The Pocket 4P features two cameras: one with a standard wide lens like the Pocket 4, and another with a 3x zoom lens designed for portraits and product shots. The zoom lens has a 60mm full-frame equivalent focal length, while the main camera is around 20mm, offering both ultra-wide and portrait options.
Dynamic range and log mode
DJI claims the Pocket 4P will offer 17 stops of dynamic range, beating all other consumer cameras and rivaling Arri's expensive cinema cameras. A new D-Log2 mode helps users take full advantage of this range. The 17-stop claim needs verification upon official release.
Color and availability
The camera will come in white as well as black, matching the color of rival Insta360 Luna Ultra, though it may attract dust. Other specs like price, resolution, and frame rates remain undisclosed. The camera is already on sale in China, with European and North American release expected early next quarter.
