Dobeles Municipality Delegation Visits Twin City Konin in Poland
A delegation from the Dobeles municipality visited its twin city Konin in Poland from June 19 to 21 to discuss cooperation and explore development projects, including renewable energy solutions.

From June 19 to 21, a delegation from the Dobeles municipality visited its twin city Konin in Poland to strengthen ties and explore new collaborative opportunities. The delegation met with Konin's mayor and city administration to review past cooperation and discuss future initiatives. Key topics included renewable energy solutions, infrastructure development, and sustainable urban planning.
The delegation visited several development projects: a geothermal heating station, salt inhalation (graduation) towers, a new pedestrian bridge, and smart traffic management systems. They also toured the NATO military airbase in Powidz.
Additionally, they met representatives from other twin cities of Konin, including those from Lithuania, Germany, Bulgaria, and Ukraine.
Dobeles municipality noted that the partnership with Konin has lasted more than 25 years, formalized by a cooperation agreement signed in 2001. The goal is to exchange experiences and seek common development solutions.
