Donald Trump's Great American State Fair turns out to be a flop

Donald Trump's Great American State Fair in Washington D.C. has been widely criticized as a failure due to low attendance, technical issues, high prices, and multiple performer cancellations. Several states declined to participate due to costs.

Organized by Donald Trump, the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington D.C. has been met with harsh reviews from media and the public, described as "embarrassing" and "a big dud."

The fair's main attraction, a small Ferris wheel, suffered power outages on the first day. Organizers claimed 56 states and territories would be represented with individual booths, but several declined due to high costs.

The opening ceremony was scheduled to feature performers like Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, The Commodores, Morris Day and the Time, Young MC, and Flo Rida, but most pulled out, stating they were unaware of the event's political undertone. Instead, Trump delivered a campaign-style rally speech, repeating claims about the US being the "hottest country anywhere in the world." Ironically, the Virginia booth was closed on Tuesday due to extreme heat, and the fair closed early on its second day because of a storm.

Further negative publicity came when a Confederate flag was displayed at a booth and had to be removed, leading to a sponsor withdrawing. Prices also sparked outrage: $25 for a pretzel, $23 for a turkey leg, and $9 for a lemonade.

Fox News attempted to put a positive spin, broadcasting live from the fair on Monday, but journalist Aaron Rupar documented that the low attendance was evident.
