Dons shares unseen childhood photos and heartfelt thoughts about dreams

Latvian musician Dons has shared previously unseen childhood photographs on his Facebook page. Alongside the pictures, he wrote personal reflections about childhood dreams and self-belief.

In the post, Dons says that if he could meet the little boy Artūrs that he once was, he would tell him to keep dreaming of big stages and to believe in those dreams wholeheartedly. He imagines the boy would smile and calmly answer that he already knows. According to the singer, that certainty was part of his everyday life as a child.

Dons explains that when life becomes difficult, he returns to these photographs and feelings. They remind him of something adults often forget — to believe. He adds that deep down he is still the same boy who trusts dreams will come true.

The post has touched many followers. In comments, people point out that Dons' confidence was visible long ago. One commenter recalls his words during “Talantu fabrika” (Talent Factory), when he said he would be a star and simply knew it. Another says the little boy was wiser and more confident than the adult.

A woman named Mārīte shared a memory from around 1989, when she visited Dons' mother Ērika in Kuldīga. She saw a young boy at the piano and asked what he wanted to be. He proudly answered that he would become a singer. Now she notes that the boy's dream has come true.

Another follower, a mother, writes that the story reminds her of her six-year-old daughter, who is a big fan and dreams of singing on a large stage.

Dons is set to perform his big concert “TUVUMS” on August 15 at 8 p.m. at the BTA Daugavas Stadium in Riga. It is expected to be one of the artist's most significant shows this summer, and its title is linked to his latest album and the theme of relationships.
