Starting August 1 and running through August 3, Dreo will hold a flash sale on its website, featuring the Chefmaker combi air fryer at half its usual price. The deal marks the lowest price seen for the device, according to a review that called it one of the most interesting cooking products of the past year.

The Chefmaker stands out because it uses a built-in temperature probe and steam cooking to slowly bring meat to the desired temperature before finishing with a heat blast to brown the surface. The reviewer said it is the only air fryer they would use for a steak, roast, or pork chop. Beyond that, it can still crisp wings, tater tots, or fries, and its combi-cook mode uses steam to keep large cuts moist. It is also app-controlled for probe cooking.

The deep discount on the current model hints that Dreo may soon launch its second-generation Chefmaker, which is expected to be less expensive and have a less advanced screen. The main upgrade on the upcoming model is access to AI-guided recipes, although Dreo has suggested those recipes could also arrive on the original Chefmaker via a firmware update. The review notes that the probe-assisted cooking holds temperature well, but the more traditional non-probe air fry and toaster oven modes can drift by about 20 degrees, a common issue in many ovens.

Alongside the Chefmaker, Dreo is also discounting its TurboCool 765S misting tower fan by 30 percent, bringing the price from $200 to $140 for the sale period. The 12-speed fan uses technology borrowed from Dreo's humidifiers to create a very fine mist with droplets about 17 microns in size, so it can cool without leaving clothes or skin wet. A colleague who tested the fan stood close at the highest mist setting and stayed dry after several minutes. The fan is somewhat large, and its six-liter water tank should last about a day, meaning owners need a spot where it can stay in place.
