On Sunday, a drone struck a beach at Arkhipo-Osipovka, a village on Russia's Black Sea coast, near the resort town of Gelendzhik. Video footage circulated on social media on Monday showed the drone hitting the crowded beach while tourists looked on from the shoreline and swimming in the sea.

Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said the attack killed six people, among them three children, and left 40 others wounded. He blamed Ukraine for the strike, though Ukraine's military has not commented on the incident.

The drone's intended target remains unclear. Some reports suggest it may have been aimed at Russia's naval base in Novorossiysk, which is roughly 40 kilometers away. No official confirmation of the drone's origin or mission has been provided.

Local authorities have not released further information about the victims or the extent of the damage. The exact circumstances of the attack are still under investigation.
