Drones Massively Attack Moscow and Region: Oil Depot and Wildberries Warehouse Burn

In a massive drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region overnight on July 18, fires broke out at an oil depot in Noginsk and a Wildberries logistics center in Elektrostal, with Russian authorities reporting dozens of casualties.

Moscow and the Moscow region experienced a massive drone attack during the night of July 18. According to Russian media, fires erupted in Noginsk and Elektrostal. Wildberries & Russ confirmed an attack on its logistics center in Elektrostal, where a fire broke out and employees were evacuated. Moscow region governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that 24 people were injured at the site, some in serious condition.

A fire also occurred at an oil depot in Noginsk, where Russian authorities claim two people were injured after a drone strike. The Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported explosions in Tver as well. The channel also confirmed a fire at the oil depot in Noginsk, located less than 10 kilometers from Elektrostal.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that over 370 drones were heading toward the Moscow region during the night, 64 of which were allegedly shot down on approach to Moscow. There is no independent confirmation of these figures.

Wildberries is Russia's largest online marketplace, selling goods over the internet. The company has an extensive network of logistics centers and warehouses in Russia and several other countries.

Earlier, drones attacked the city of Kotovsk in the Tambov region, causing a fire at a logistics center.
