Fewer than 3,000 civilians remain in Druzhkivka community in Donetsk region
About 2,695 civilians now remain in Ukraine's Druzhkivka municipal community in Donetsk region, with evacuations still ongoing and no children left among residents.
Fewer than 3,000 civilians remain in the Druzhkivka municipal territorial community in Ukraine's Donetsk region, according to local administration data.
Yulia Ryzhakova, head of the children's affairs service at the Donetsk regional administration, told the Ukrinform news agency that a total of 2,695 people currently remain in the community's territory. She noted that there are no children among these residents.
Local authorities say evacuation from the community is continuing. For comparison, Ukrinform reported that as of August 20, officials had counted 3,300 civilians still living in the Druzhkivka community.
Forced evacuation
In August 2026, mandatory forced evacuation began for families with children from the city of Druzhkivka and four villages of the Andriivka community in Donetsk region. As recently as March 2026, roughly 9,500 civilians had still been living in the community.
The sharp decline in population since March reflects the ongoing security risks and impact of hostilities on settlements in the region.
