Vacuum maker Dyson has introduced three new robot vacuums as part of a fresh product line called Nurovi. The lineup includes the R1 Nurovi Dry at $550, the R2 Nurovi Wash + Dry at $700, and the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV at $1,200.

All three models share a light gray color scheme that sets them apart from the earlier Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, though the base stations retain the brand's familiar canister-style compartment design. A key change is in navigation: while Dyson's previous robot vacuum relied on an HD camera, the new models use lidar laser-precision navigation instead. The top model, the R3, also adds a UV light designed to help detect stains on floors.

All three devices include what Dyson calls a Twin-Capture System, intended to pick up dust and debris from both hard floors and carpets. The entry-level R1 is vacuum-only, while the R2 and R3 combine vacuuming with mopping.

Availability differs by model

The R2 will be sold exclusively through Costco, while the R1 and R3 will be available on Dyson's website and likely through other retailers as well. The R2 features a distinctive triangular mop-pad design and offers 21,000 Pa of suction power. The flagship R3 also incorporates artificial intelligence that Dyson says can identify and clean up to 200 types of household substances, and it delivers a higher suction power of 30,000 Pa.
