Uncapped Coles Called Up to England T20 Squad for India Series
England have named their squad for the five-match T20 series against India, including uncapped all-rounder James Coles. Harry Brook will captain the side.

Sussex all-rounder James Coles, 22, has received his first England call-up for the upcoming T20 series against India. Coles is yet to make his international debut, but he recently hit a career-best 224 not out in a County Championship match against Glamorgan earlier this month. His performances in last year's T20 Blast were also impressive, scoring 397 runs at an average of 33 and taking 10 wickets with an economy rate just above nine.
Harry Brook will captain the side for the five T20 matches, despite being overlooked for the Test captaincy against New Zealand. Test opener Ben Duckett, who was part of the squad that lost to India in this year's T20 World Cup semi-final, has been omitted.
Coles was signed by London Spirit in this year's Hundred for £390,000. Jordan Cox, Sonny Baker, and Saqib Mahmood return to the squad, while Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton are unavailable due to injuries.
Selector Marcus North commented: "James Coles is an exciting addition and has earned his place. We have selected a larger squad to accommodate the fact that this series will begin shortly after the Test series against New Zealand, which gives us flexibility."
The first T20 of the series takes place at Chester-le-Street on 1 July, with the final match in Southampton on 11 July. England may face 15-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the series. Full squad: Harry Brook (Yorkshire, captain), Rehan Ahmed (Leicestershire), Jofra Archer (Sussex), Sonny Baker (Hampshire), Tom Banton (Somerset), Jacob Bethell (Warwickshire), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), James Coles (Sussex), Jordan Cox (Essex), Sam Curran (Surrey), Liam Dawson (Hampshire), Will Jacks (Surrey), Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Phil Salt (Lancashire), Josh Tongue (Nottinghamshire), Luke Wood (Lancashire).
