Poet Anda Līce transforms overgrown plot into a garden in Cesvaine
Poet Anda Līce, after turning 80, transformed a neglected plot in Cesvaine into a tidy garden, overcoming health challenges.

Several years ago, poet Anda Līce obtained a small garden plot next to an apartment building in Cesvaine, after she had already celebrated her 80th birthday. She energetically set to work, turning a thicket into a neat garden with her own hands.
Despite suffering a head injury during an icy winter and undergoing two subsequent surgeries, she did not give up gardening. The following autumn, she worked in the garden on all fours on a wax cloth because she was not allowed to bend. The poet emphasizes that the garden is one of her therapy spaces.
