Dzerins to continue career in Germany with Waldkraiburg
Latvian hockey player Andris Dzerins will play another season for German fourth-tier club Waldkraiburg, the team announced. The 38-year-old forward recorded 64 points in 39 games last season.

Andris Dzerins has decided to continue his hockey career. He will remain with Waldkraiburg, a team playing in Germany's fourth-tier league, for the upcoming season, the club announced. The 38-year-old Latvian completed his first season with the squad and will now fulfill his two-year contract with the team.
Last season, Dzerins scored 64 points (17 goals and 47 assists) in 39 games, ranking among the club's top performers. Waldkraiburg will stay in the fourth division next season; the club has been at this level since 2024 after earning promotion from the fifth tier.
Dzerins spent his prime years with Riga Dinamo, joining the club in 2009. In 2016, he moved to the Czech Extraliga, returning to Riga two years later. Before heading to Germany, he played one season in Austria. Dzerins has represented the Latvian national team in 12 World Championships.
