On Friday, the e-Health system experienced a disruption lasting several hours. According to a representative of the National Health Service, the cause was damage to fiber optic cables belonging to SIA 'Tet'. During construction work near the Mūkusalas roundabout, two main Tet fiber optic cables were damaged, affecting the continuity of e-Health data transmission.
While Tet’s support team was repairing the cables, a temporary solution was implemented to restore e-Health functionality by rerouting data through alternative channels. As a result, the system became operational before the cable damage was fully resolved. Tet reported that the cable repairs were completed by 10:00 PM on Friday.
