A new exhibition at the Ēdole Culture House showcases a carefully preserved collection of vintage postcards dating back to the early 20th century. The collection was originally assembled by Emma Freilībena, who kept greetings from loved ones in albums rather than discarding them. She passed the collection to her goddaughter, Gracija Plieniņa, who maintained it with equal care and has now made it available for the public to see.

The postcards on display offer a glimpse into both personal relationships and the spirit of the era. They serve as historical documents, reflecting the aesthetics, language, and social customs of the time. Each card is a unique piece of history, preserved thanks to the dedication of two generations of collectors.

The exhibition at the Ēdole Culture House invites visitors to step back in time and explore how people sent greetings and shared joy a century ago. It is open to the public, with details on duration available at the venue.
