In the third episode of the Latvian television show “Izklausies redzēts”, in which participants transform into other performers, musician Ralfs Eilands was given the task of portraying singer Intars Busulis. What made the situation unusual was that Busulis had joined the jury panel for this episode and watched the act from close range. The episode was covered by 360TV and Latvijas Avīze.

The performance

Eilands performed two of Busulis's songs, “Brīvdiena” and “Sastrēgums”. He tried to imitate not only the singer's voice but also his typical movements and stage manner. The result was a humorous parody that amused viewers.

Busulis's reaction

For Busulis himself, the sight stirred unusual emotions. After the act he said: “That was the longest five minutes of the past six months. I felt so awkward.” Despite his embarrassment, he praised Eilands's performance and awarded him the maximum number of points at the end of the show.

Viewer comments and the winner

Viewers also reacted on social media. One commenter enthusiastically called Eilands a “superstar”, while another said the performance was “fantastic”.

Although Eilands's transformation into Busulis became one of the evening's most striking moments, the winner of the third episode was Andris Ērglis, who portrayed actor and singer Andris Bērziņš.
