European Championship semifinal in Istanbul: Turkey to face Serbia
Turkey's national women's volleyball team, the reigning European champions, will host Serbia on Saturday in Istanbul in a European Championship semifinal.
On Saturday, Istanbul will host one of the semifinal matches of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, pitting host nation Turkey against Serbia's national team.
Turkey enters the match as the defending champions, having won the title at the previous edition of the tournament. That status puts the home side in the role of favourites, although Serbia has long been regarded as one of the strongest teams in European volleyball and will be looking to book a place in the final.
The winner of the semifinal will advance to compete for the European champion's title, while the losing team will play in the bronze medal match.
The match will be broadcast live on the LTV7 channel, with LSM.lv also providing a live stream.
