Eurovision may gain new participant from outside Europe
Eurovision could welcome a country next year that has never officially participated, although its representatives have already won – like Celine Dion in 1988.

The Eurovision Song Contest has long ceased to be a purely European affair, and next year could bring another surprise. Reports suggest that a country located outside Europe and never officially entered in Eurovision might join the competition.
Although the country itself has never participated, its representatives have already taken the Eurovision stage and even won. The speculation points to Canada, as the most famous Canadian winner is Celine Dion, who triumphed in 1988 representing Switzerland.
Eurovision has expanded its participant base in recent years, including countries like Australia and Israel, despite their geographical location outside Europe. Adding a non-European debutant would further internationalize the contest.
