Gadi Eisenkot, a rival of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel's upcoming election, held his final campaign rally on Sunday.
Israeli opposition figure Gadi Eisenkot held his final campaign rally on Sunday, ahead of Israel's upcoming parliamentary election. In the vote, Eisenkot is a rival of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Details about the event itself are scarce. The source, the Qatar-based outlet Al Jazeera, gave only a brief report that does not say where the rally took place, how many people attended, or what Eisenkot said in his address. The exact election date is not given either.
The rally marks the closing stage of the campaign: after it, no further major public events by the candidate were mentioned before voting. The outcome of the election will determine who leads the Israeli government in the next term.
This story will be updated once more details about the content of the rally and the course of the election become available.
