Wigan Warriors secured a hard-fought 24-10 victory over Huddersfield Giants in the Betfred Super League, thanks to a hat-trick from Zach Eckersley. Despite entering the match on an 11-game losing streak, bottom-placed Huddersfield put up stiff resistance and even took the lead through a Taane Milne try. Wigan responded with tries from Oliver Partington and Eckersley to lead 10-4 at halftime. Huddersfield leveled the score in the second half through Jacob Gagai, but their discipline faltered when Joe Greenwood was sin-binned for dissent. Adam Keighran then kicked a penalty before Eckersley added two more tries to seal the win. The result leaves Wigan just two points behind the Super League leaders.
